Miss Victoria Akpa came to India for her cardiac surgery along with her father Simone Akpa. Victoria seemed like a perfectly healthy infant but after her 5 years during her regular health checkup, her pediatrician heard a heart mummer.
“Hello I’m Simone Akpa and I came to India for my daughter’s cardiac surgery. During a regular checkup Victoria’s regular pediatric cardiologist diagnosed an atrial septal defect (ASD); it’s an opening in the tissue separating the heart’s upper chambers, commonly known as ‘hole in the heart’. When her condition was still the same even when she turned 10, we decided to take the next step before any further complication could rise.”
